Concealer is not my favorite makeup product. But when it comes to covering imperfections I won't stop till I find the perfect one! This is my concealer collection so far and a tiny review for each one.
Oriflame Top Secret Concealer in James Bond (dark) and Mata Hari (light)
This is out of production now. It comes in a stick form. It's creamy but not too much. It's good for covering pimples but it doesn't work for the under eye area because it sets in fine lines.
Korres Wild Rose Concealer in WRC3This is the twist and brush type packaging. Liquid concealer, not too watery, good quality, decent coverage. It's also good for highlighting face areas without shimmer.
Seventeen Ideal Cover Liquid Concealer in 04-Nude
Ideal cover? No no no. This is more a highlighter than a concealer. It doesn't cover and it has subtle shimmer. Liquid product with doe foot applicator, a little watery.
Essence forget it! 3in1 concealer
This is the color corrector trio most brands offer for higher prices. I use the light green for redness and the light pink for the under eye area. It gives some light but you'll maybe find it too light when used alone. The beige colour I haven't used a lot because it's a little dark for me. I tried to mix the beige and pink to apply in dark circles and it works but the formula isn't great for this sensitive area.
Nivea Beaute Stay on cover stick in 09 BeigeVery creamy stick concealer, very good coverage. A little heavy for under eye area, it doesn't need powder but it definitely needs cream underneath.
Oriflame Very Me Click it concealer in pink
This is a liquid, doe foot applicator concealer. The colour is more like salmon so it's perfect for the dark circles. Good coverage but not so good staying power.
Essence stay all day concealer in 20 soft beige
Liquid, doe foot applicator concealer. I love this one for dark circles. Very good coverage, very good lasting power, doesn't set in the fine lines.
E.L.F. all over cover stick in Honey
I use this one for face only because the colour is dark for under the eyes. Creamy consistency, comes in a stick form.
There is also the Garnier Roll-on anti-dark circles (photo here) which I also use as a concealer because it gives good coverage and doesn't set in fine lines. But it's not an eye cream, if I don't use eye cream underneath it makes my eye area dry.
If you've found the perfect concealer or if you have and like/hate any of the ones above, I'd love to read your opinion :)
P.S. So sorry I don't blog frequently these days, I have exams till the end of the month, then, I'll come back! Do you also have exams? Or do you enjoy the sun and the sea?
P.P.S. Today is the biggest day of the year! How/where are you spending it?
