Some time ago I received an email from Avene inviting me at a bloggers event. Unfortunately, I had exams and couldn't attend it. I was sad, the girls who went said it was well organized and they learned tons of interesting things, but Theodosia who is Avene Product Manager kindly sent me some products to try for myself. Here's what she sent me.
The products were samples but not the teeny tiny ones, these lasted for 5-7 uses so I could actually try them and share my first impressions with you.
Cleanance Gel Soapless Cleanser
Ok, this is actually not the first time I'm using this product. My boyfriend had been using it for many years so I've used it many times. I like it a lot. It cleans deeply but it's not too harsh and won't leave your skin too dry. Unless your skin is dry of course. I'd buy the full size. Price: 12.10€ for 200ml. This will last me a long time since I only need a small amount and work it with fingers to foam.
Very High Protection Emulsion SPF50
This was the last thing I tried because I didn't think I'd like it. Why? Because my mum had this cream last summer, I tried it and I didn't like it, it was too thick. Or so I thought. I tried the Avene sample and it was different! More lightweight and less oily. Did they change the formula or something? I asked Theodosia and she told me that there are two options available, one for dry skin and the one I have. My mum has dry skin so... mystery solved! ^-^ This sunscreen is also available in tinted which I'd recommend as the one I tried leaves me with a Casper face. I don't think I'll ever again buy a white sunscreen if tinted ones are available. Price: 17.10€.
Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water
This has become my hot-weather buddy! The one I got is 50ml and it's great for my everyday bag. Due to its small size, it's travel-friendly and ok to carry in the aeroplane. You can use it before make up to refresh and moisturise the skin, after make up to set it and avoid cakey face and after removing your make up to calm down and sooth your skin. It's also great after sunbathing! Avene also suggests it for babies diaper rush, eczema and after face surgical procedures. Men can use it too to moisturise and calm down skin after shaving. Yeap, it's a magical product :) I will buy it again, I'm kind of addicted to it!
Prices: 3.50€ for 50 ml, 6.60€ for 150 ml and 8.90€ for 300ml.
Hydrance Optimale Light Hydrating Cream SPF20 (normal to combination sensitive skin)
I really really liked this product. It's lightweight, it moisturises without leaving oiliness. It stays matt even in hot weather which makes it a great base for make up. With spf20 it's the perfect cream for summer in the city for oily/combination skin. Also available in richer formula for dry and very dry skin, with or without spf20. Price: 21.10€.
It's really nice, looks waterproof-ish, it's plastic from outside. I use it to carry my face, body and lips sunscreen at the beach and they fit in great :D

I'd love to know about your experience with Avene products. Which ones are you fav or which ones you'd like to try? Any recommendations?
The products mentioned are samples so they were given to me for free from Avene, thanks Theodosia! You can ask for your free samples at Avene counters. I'm not being paid to use or write about them, this is my honest opinion.
